Abstract

SET UP OF AN ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM AND ENHANCEMENT OF THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL HERITAGE: THE COMMITMENT OF THE POLITECNICO OF BARI This work shows some Archaeological Museum projects as study cases of an educational experience, developed by the Architecture Department of the Politecnico of Bari. The projects have been organised with the synergy of many disciplines such as interior design, museology and museography, and thanks to the cooperation among Italian and foreigners universities, the Italian “Soprintendenza ai Beni Archeologici” and some important Albanian institutions committed to the enhancement of the local archaeological heritage. Aim of this new educational approach is to elaborate a specific methodology in order to achieve a proper and effective procedure in setting up an archaeological museum. This experience has proved an important way to educate students and, at the same time, it might contribute to a better spreading of archaeological heritage.
