In Italy the culture of pain is not properly spread. In order to promote a significant socio-cultural change, it was enacted the Law 38 of 2010, which concerns the palliative care and the pain therapy and provides for a compulsory registration of the pain and results of relief in the medical records. The research objective is to monitor the quality of services, as perceived by patients, provided in the Structure of Pain Medicine of the University Hospital “Ospedali Riuniti” in Foggia. For the analysis on desk, the research of theoretical models and managerial tools useful to the Head of the hospital ambulatory will be done in the studies of service management; while the analysis on field will be conducted through a questionnaire that will carry out the customer satisfaction survey. In details, the questionnaire will consider aspects of the outpatient service of pain therapy related to the booking service, waiting time for booking and medical examination, kindness and openness to communication of the personnel, respect for privacy, relief from pain. The survey methodology will be divided into several phases: definition of the investigation field; planning of tools; method of administration; data processing; presentation of results; improvements on hospital performances. Key words: outpatient service of pain therapy, measuring the intensity of pain, patient satisfaction, perceived quality.
This paper aims at analyzing particular network organizational systems which consider strategic aggregation as the core of the value generation processes. It will analyze the new organization of the rural area in a macro dimension through a “cultural-tourist route” realized with the cooperation of public and private operators, strongly stimulating and innovative, formed by ancient country houses, woods, ravines, archeological parks and rupestrian settlements. For the analysis on desk, the search for theoretical models and managerial tools useful to the territory operators will take place in studies of Destination Management; while on field analysis will be conducted by questionnaire in order to investigate about the advantages of country houses aggregation and multistakeholders offer systems. The questionnaire will be administered to a sample of ten country houses, most of which are agricultural and zootechnical firms, located in the rural tourist destination of Crispiano and Grottaglie, with more than a hundred country houses, in the Ionian area. Following the Destination Management literature, this research will highlight the attitude towards cooperation among local operators, rural communities, country houses, public institutions, which aims to enhance the tourist system made of attractors, tangible and intangible resources for the purpose of competitiveness of the destination.
Objectives: the research aims to verify if and how the widespread cultural heritage in Taranto, city of “Magna Grecia”, may help to achieve social and economic positive externalities, so substantial benefits for inner stakeholders to the destination, due to the culture, aptitude to relation, cognitive abilities, knowledge, traditions ingrained in a specific cultural area. Methodology: the statistical methodology we used aimed first at making a summary, by means of factor analysis, of an amount of information which was in the questionnaire items. The extracted factors were later used as key variables in a cluster analysis, in order to divide the subjects into different groups, where each one of them represents a different perception profile about the examined phenomenon. The clusters were later crossed with the information concerning the residence area in order to verify the hypothesis of a different perception of the phenomenon between the different areas. Findings: the research tried to define the role of intangible assets in the development of the Ionian cultural tourist destination, as it is perceived by its residents. Research limits: limitations are due to the restricted data used in this phase of the research, which takes into account only the views of inner stakeholders, lacking the perspective of external stakeholders, such as tourists. Practical implications: this paper offers policy suggestions to public decision makers and to private subjects for the integrated management of local resources. Originality of the study: the research tries to define an organic, aware and shared design of territory development which, by leveraging on social capital, can promote and drive the development itself.
The research objective is to analyze the “widespread museum” of the city of Taranto, the systemic set of widespread cultural heritage in the city and in the surrounding area, and to consider it in view of a cultural touristic destination. In particular, the research aims to verify if and how the “widespread museum” may help to achieve social and economic positive externality, so substantial benefits for stakeholders involved in the local community as the residents, due to the culture, social relations, cognitive abilities layered and sedimented in a cultural area. Therefore, the role of intangible assets in the development of destination, as perceived by residents, has been defined through a questionnaire.
Objectives. This paper deals with particular network organisation systems which consider strategic alliances as the core of value generation processes. In the tourist sector each firm must necessarily dialogue with other firms but also with the territory and, in a “macro” perspective, it must be able to compete with firms located and operating in other territories. Synergies that any kind of firm should set up according to the theory of a vital systemic approach result to be a pursuing goal when there are conditions of relationships in a specific territorial context. Methodology. qualitative method by survey. Findings. The network agreement signed by all firms operating in the tourist sector in the Apulia region aims at enforcing and implementing the tourist offer made of attractions, material resources and intangible resources. Research limits. Research is based upon a founded but not proved condition about the fact that a strategic instrument could constitute a significant element for a considerable change of the tourist offer. Practical implications. Network agreement of Apulia country houses, as mean of application of cooperative strategies, determine the increase of tourism stream thanks to a better visibility of the country houses (through an integrated offer) as regards the potential tourism market, and to the mutual return of tourists that belonging to the network con promote each other (through country houses cooperation). Originality of the study. It focuses on the aggregation of limited size entities operating in the tourist sector and made possible through well-established network agreements which would inevitably give value to the authentic characteristics of the territory itself on a large scale.

The paper aims at analysing the strategic validity of Italian contractual network in order to define a new business model for contemporary companies belonging to the tourist, agri-food and crafts sectors. The qualitative methodology is used with a one-case study in depth. The data are collected through semi-structured interviews in depth, observations. The present research is the first step of an extended study on territorial regional, national and international levels. Limitations are due to the restricted data used in the present phase of the research. The paper aims at integrating existing literature for academic community and decision makers. The research represents essential characteristics of Italian contractual network, by emphasising its framework and validity, in order to recognise an innovative business model in increasing the tourist, agri-food and crafts companies’ competition on the global market.

On field analysis with the methodology of case studies, useful to verify the analysis model proposed. Results and managerial implications. The paper contributes to studies on museum systems and provides indications of policy to the public decision mak-ers in cultural sector in order to design and development of a management model that responds to systemic perspective.
To recognize the network as an organizational solution much more in sync with the post modern context and the spread during the last decades of a large number of networks and museum systems on the national territory, even if very different among them, has called many management scholars’ attention to these theories. Organizational reticular arrangements and management models responding to the systemic perspective have been recognized by managerial literature as the best solutions to optimize the efficacy and efficiency of museums in particular Italian ones, as mostly small size, with a widespread availability on the territory and of primary local interest, besides heavily weighed by internal financial, organizational and productive restrictions. This paper aims at highlighting the distinctive networks and museums systems characteristics, at focusing on the potentiality of organizational and managerial solutions to optimize the efficacy and efficiency of Italian museums, at modeling the phases of museum networks building process and system implementation. For this end we will use existing literature about this, but also the analysis of the empirical evidence of networks and museum systems in Europe and in Italy and we will get at proposing a model for the founding of an Apulia Regional Museum System.
