Abstract

The essay examines the rules on tax relief in social and economic deprived urban areas. It has to do with some of the issues reguarding the compatibility with State aids in areas weighed down by social distress. The evolution of the policies in favour of the urban free zones is an important step towards the implementation of the “political” lines drawn at EU level, especially those concerning economic, social and territorial cohesion
