Abstract

This essay explores the "sign" in Wolff and Kant. Combining ontology, logic and mathematics, Wolff's definition of "sign" acquires methodological rigour and scientific compatibility. Moving from this same approach, Kant broadens the perimeter of his conceptual analysis: he joins sign and history, searching for the ethical value of the sign for human history.
