Abstract

The present invention consists in the use of the 5' UTR region of the transposable element of class | ZAM of Drosophila melanogaster as "barrier element" or "insulator" for the treatment of genetic diseases and to prepare recombinant expression vectors comprising said sequence as insulator and use thereof to prepare medicaments intended for gene therapy.
