Abstract

The present office aims to point out how, in evaluating the features concurring to the identity of the People of God, a central element is represented by the “festive time”; in the strict organization of the true religious model into ritual and symbolic structures, the belonging of the individual to the Christian community emerges as closely related to the features according to which sacred feasts are disciplined. In this context, synodal legislation embodies a normative identification paradigm for all the individuals who, according to their own condition and under the guidance of Sacred Pastors, having been christened concur to build a society based on the persistence of consent to a law inspired by divine rules and the achievement of utilitas in the afterlife.
