Abstract

It is not a usual routine to try to identify the implicit philosophical aspects in Giovanni Pascoli’s poems. The poet recognized to himself this role only. The beginning of a story about “Pascoli as a philosopher” starts from the style of his poetry, that is from some characteristics such as the evocative power of images and the centrality of the words in order to arrive, all in all, to the rediscovery of thaumazein.
