Abstract

This essay concerns Cicero's reflection about the role of the politicians towards the crisis of the res publica: they have to find solutions by reading the signs of time and they have to be ready to change direction when it is necessary in order to save the res publica. The communtationes that occurr in the State will be managed by politicians and used as an opportunity to overcome crisis, The forma rei publicae can also be changed: the most important thing is to save the substance of res publica, the vinculum iuris
