Abstract

The project entitled “Urban Visions” arises in the context of Design courses at the School of Engineering of Politecnico di Bari, addressing the relationship between information technology, architecture and digital environments, where Digital Design is seen as a flow of ideas that goes through disciplines and wraps us up as a global environment and fascinates us as a tool of great power of expression and communication. The project is developed through three matrices: visual, constructive and interactive multimedia. In the first matrix, we explore the visual galaxy of virtual worlds and visual languages that they use. An image search on the topic, whose purpose is to build an archive of images, visions, and situations drawn from the virtual world from which to draw inspiration in the design phase.
