Abstract

In this contribution, since the recent reform law of MiBACT (Ministry of Culture), it is firmly suggested the adoption of a multidisciplinary, integrated, global and holistic approach to cultural heritage, in research and training as well as in protection, communication and enhancement strategies. There is, however, a serious methodological and cultural delay in the policies of protection, often still structured in an antiquated, academic and elitist policy. This sector requires a wider and deeper set of innovation strategies tackled with courage and creativity.
