Abstract

On the central hill at Amheida, the 4th century polis of Trimithis, the excavations from NYU discovered a deep stratigraphy with superimposed buildings that goes bak until at least the 4th Dynasty. The area was occupied by a temple of Thoth of which several phases have been discovered.
