The Lexem Turk among the Old Albanian authors with a view of Gjergj Fishta

Abstract

<span class="tlid-translation translation"><span class="" title="">This essay deals with the Albanian lexeme turk "Muslim, Tuerke" in Altalbanian and Gjergj Fishta.</span> <span title="">In the first part, the use of turk by the Old Albanian authors, who were all Catholic clerics, is examined.</span> <span title="">In these texts therefore outweighs the meaning "Muslim".</span> <span title="">In the second part, the lexeme is analyzed in the national epic Lahuta e Malcìs of Gjergj Fishta.</span> <span title="">This author uses the lexeme with very special nuances.</span></span>
