Abstract

The system (5) has an input terminal and an output terminal coupled respectively to an input amplification stage (2), and output amplification stage (3). A voltage controlled current source delivers compensation current to the output terminal when voltage signal on the input terminal has a value greater than voltage signal on the output terminal, thus forcing the voltage signal on the output terminal to follow the voltage signal on the input terminal by an amount based upon a clamping voltage provided by a clamping block. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a voltage amplifier coupled to reference voltages and including an input terminal and an output terminal (2) a method for making a overdrive control system to be coupled to reference voltages and to an amplification stage with a pair of inputs and an output.
