Abstract

A rule setting method for managing a data processing system, and a system and a computer program thereof are provided to optimize selection for restricting a configuration operation in the data processing system by dynamically assigning resources. A request for at least one development entity is detected among a plurality of developer entities of at least one resource(403). A score representing efforts required for configuring the resource with requirements for at least one developer entity is assigned to each available resource(407). At least one available resource is selected according to the assigned score to minimize the efforts required for configuration(409). The available resources of a lower group not requiring the manual configuration is selected in advance. The score is assigned to the available resources of the lower group.
