Abstract

An accessory assembly of a turbine engine has a support structure (3) and a shaft (4) coupled to the support structure (3) by means of a pair of main bearings (6) and provided with an end portion (8), which has a shear neck (11) designed to break when the torque transmitted to that shaft (4) exceeds a predetermined design threshold; the accessory assembly (1) also has a gear (12), which defines a motion inlet, is fixed to the end portion (8) and, when said shear neck (11) breaks, remains supported by a single secondary bearing (20); the latter is distinct from said main bearings (6) and is arranged axially between said shear neck (11) and the gear (12).
