APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR NUCLEIC ACID SEQUENCING BASED ON NANOCHANNELS

Abstract

An apparatus for nucleic acid sequencing includes a nanochannel (10) and a conveying device (5), configured to move a nucleic acid strand (F) through the nanochannel (10). The conveying device (5) includes: a first electrode (15), a second electrode (16), and a third electrode (17), which are arranged along the nanochannel (10) so as to be in contact with a fluid occupying the nanochannel (10), the second electrode (16) being arranged between the first electrode (15) and the third electrode (17); and a control unit (20) configured to apply a first voltage (V1), a second voltage (V2), and a third voltage (V3), respectively, to the first electrode (15), the second electrode (16) and the third electrode (17), so as to control movement of the nucleic acid strand (F) through the nanochannel (10).
