Abstract

The hydraulic power recovery turbine comprises a casing and a rotor arranged for rotation in the casing. The rotor comprises a rotor shaft (43) and at least one impeller mounted on the rotor shaft. The rotor shaft is supported by bearings (45) arranged in respective bearing housings (25). The drive-end bearing housing (25) further houses a clutch (51), which connects the rotor shaft (43) to an output shaft (29) of the hydraulic power recovery turbine (23) extending from the drive-end bearing housing.
